Joe Biden’s Presidency has been one blunder after another.
One colossal disaster is coming back into focus.
And Joe Biden sat in stunned silence after a leading Republican said these four words.
The withdrawal from Afghanistan will go down as one of the biggest foreign policy disasters in American history.
President Joe Biden botched the withdrawal from beginning to end leaving the country humiliated on the world stage.
13 American soldiers lost their lives from his incompetence and poor planning after a suicide attack at the Kabul airport.
18 months after the debacle, the House Foreign Affairs Committee held a hearing entitled, “During and After the Fall of Kabul: Examining the Administration’s Emergency Evacuation from Afghanistan.”
In the hearing, a U.S. Marine Corps sniper who lost an arm and a leg during the suicide bombing that killed 13 service members shared emotional testimony saying “the withdrawal was a catastrophe.”
Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a U.S. Marine Corps sniper, tells Congress that he was denied permission to shoot the suicide bomber in Afghanistan that killed 13 service members and over 170 civilians:

Committee chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) called the Afghanistan withdrawal one of the “worst foreign policy failures” in the country’s history.
The hearing comes after Republicans issued a report last year calling the withdrawal a “strategic failure” and ripped the Biden regime for failing to plan for the Taliban sweeping back into power.
The White House attempted to do damage control with a leaked memo that said that report “riddled with inaccurate characterizations, cherry-picked information, and false claims.”
The memo tried to pin the blame on former President Donald Trump for the disastrous withdrawal.
It claimed that a February 2020 agreement between the Trump administration and the Taliban “empowered the Taliban, weakened our partners in the Afghan government, and committed to withdrawing our troops a few months after President Biden’s inauguration – with no clear plan for what should come next.”
This, of course, ignores that Biden decided to move forward with the withdrawal, was in charge of it and completely botched its execution.
The non-existent planning was exposed when Axios reported that the day Taliban forces entered the Afghan capital of Kabul, the regime was still scrambling to come up with evacuation plans.
McCaul fired back at the leaked memo saying the regime’s claims were “demonstrably false, and are clear attempts to rewrite history in an effort to sweep one of the worst foreign policy failures in American history under the rug.”
The State Department is stonewalling the committee ahead of the hearing by refusing to turn over requested documents including an unheeded dissent cable from 23 State Department officials.
On July 13, 2021, American diplomats sent a classified cable to Secretary of State Antony Blinken warning that the Afghan government would quickly fall apart and that a catastrophe was looming.
The Biden regime publicly stated that they had no idea that the Afghan government would collapse so quickly.
This is the latest bad news for Joe Biden on Afghanistan.
An upcoming report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction reportedly blames the regime’s poor planning and execution during the withdrawal for the Taliban regaining power.
The withdrawal from Afghanistan is a catastrophic failure that is going to continue to haunt Joe Biden heading into 2024.
