John Fetterman picked a fight with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for this surprising reason

John Fetterman has become a wildcard in the Democrat Party.

Tensions boiled over after an embarrassing display in Congress.

And John Fetterman picked a fight with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for this surprising reason.

House Committee hearing descends into chaos

Sparks were flying during a hearing of the House Oversight Committee to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to release the audio recording of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with President Joe Biden.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) caused a meltdown when she asked if any of the Democrats on the committee hired the daughter of Democrat Judge Juan Merchan, who’s presiding over former President Donald Trump’s trial in Manhattan.

Merchan’s daughter works for a political consulting firm that raises money for Democrats.

Greene pointed out that Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) had hired Merchan’s daughter.

Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) had previously attacked Greene and other Republicans on the committee in the media.

They began going back and forth.

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up your –” Greene told Crockett.

Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) stopped them before Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) jumped in to back up Crockett.

“I do have a point of order. And I would like to move to take down Ms. Greene’s words,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “That is absolutely unacceptable! How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person!”

“Are your feelings hurt?” Greene asked.

“Move her words down!” Ocasio-Cortez whined.

All hell broke loose as Greene, Ocasio-Cortez, and Crockett went back and forth.

John Fetterman takes a shot at the House after raucous committee hearing

U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) weighed in on the Greene, Ocasio-Cortez, Crockett scuffle on social media.

“In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show,” Fetterman posted on X. “Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”

Ocasio-Cortez fired back at Fetterman by calling him “confused,” which was almost certainly a shot at his disabilities after suffering a stroke in 2022.

“I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a ‘both sides’ issue,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.”

“And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “Enjoy your Friday.”

Ocasio-Cortez raged that Fetterman had some light-hearted fun on social media by commenting on her unruly committee hearing.

Fetterman appeared on CNN’s State of the Union, where host Jake Tapper asked him about Ocasio-Cortez calling him a bully.

“Oh, well, of course, that‘s absurd,” Fetterman said. “I was just simply responding to the kind of chaos and everything that Rep. Greene started as well.”

“And if everyone on the committee was proud of what they‘ve produced, they are entitled to their opinion or if they feel that this is the kind of a video that you want to send to a classroom of 8th-grade civics kind of students across America,” Fetterman added. “That’s their choice.”

Fetterman, a disciple of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), has become an outlier on the far-left of the Democrat Party by being a vocal supporter of Israel in its conflict with Hamas.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – an anti-Israeli activist – is fuming that she was embarrassed by a member of her own party.
