While many political insiders think Biden picking Harris to be his Vice President was one of the worst decisions he ever made, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had a surprising take on it.
On Fox News Channel’s, The Ingraham Angle, DeSantis explained that picking Harris to be his Vice President may end up being one of Biden’s smartest moves.
“So here’s the thing – I thought Biden picking her at first was like the worst decision ever because she’s not great,” DeSantis said. “But she’s like the best impeachment insurance and 25th Amendment insurance anyone could have.”
The 25th Amendment allows the Vice President to take over if the current President is disabled and unable to carry out their duties.
“Because as bad as Biden is, even though he can barely read the teleprompter, and as much as people disapprove of him, nobody wants Harris, and so they’d much rather stick with Biden floundering around than actually turn the wheels of power over to somebody that clearly is over – in over her head,” DeSantis added.
With Joe Biden’s political future looking murky at best, Harris should be the natural successor to take over for him in 2024.
But after her disastrous stint as Vice President, even Democrats are ready to throw in the towel on Harris.
Democrats gave Harris a humiliating rejection that proved how unpopular she is with the base of the Party.
The Democrat National Committee reportedly had to reschedule a fundraiser hosted by Harris after failing to sell enough tickets to the event.
Over the course of the last three years, Harris went from being a Presidential frontrunner in the Democrat Primary to becoming a national punchline.
And now Kamala Harris has achieved the unthinkable feat of being a worse option for President than Joe Biden.
