Kamala Harris just got publicly embarrassed by the last Democrat she ever suspected.
California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that he won’t challenge Biden in a 2024 Presidential Primary.
But everyone believes if Biden takes a pass on seeking a second term, Newsom will not defer to Vice President Kamala Harris.
The uncertainty surrounding Biden is why Democrats like Newsom continue to look for opportunities to keep their name in the national conversation on the big issues of the day.
Joe Biden’s illegal alien invasion is the number one policy failure for this administration.
And the blame for millions of illegal aliens crossing into America since Joe Biden took over falls on Kamala Harris since he named her border czar in March of 2021.
Newsom filming a video at the border was odd for Democrats.
Leftists usually try to avoid the immigration issue because they know their open borders policies are wildly unpopular.
But Newsom appeared to want to own an issue that is seen as the number one issue in Harris’ portfolio.

In an interview with ABC, Newsom admitted that the mass flood of illegal aliens coming into America stretched California thin since the Golden States was one of the top destinations for them under Joe Biden’s catch and release policy.
“The federal government is sending more and more flights, and more and more buses directly here to California because this state is doing what no other state’s doing and that’s absorbing and protecting and preserving our values and advancing them by doing healthcare screenings, and taking care of folks, and the more we do, the burden is placed disproportionately on us,” Newsom began.
Newsom took another indirect shot at border czar Harris by admitting that the state was running out of money to house the influx of illegal aliens.
“We’re already at capacity and nine of our sites,” Newsom continued. “We can’t continue to fund all of these sites because of the budgetary pressures now being placed on this state and the offsetting issues that I have to address.”
Gavin Newsom supports amnesty and open borders.
But Newsom also knows those positions are toxic in a General Election.
And Newsom wants to thread a needle that allows him to rhetorically appeal to both sides of the immigration debate while at the same time calling out Kamala Harris for failing in her role as border czar.
