White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is in way over her head.
She couldn’t handle a reporter doing his job.
And Karine Jean-Pierre had a public meltdown when a Fox News reporter asked this question.
The spotlight was put back on Washington, D.C.’s growing crime problem after an alarming shooting incident involving the Secret Service.
Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden opened fire on a gang of criminals who tried to carjack them.
The President’s granddaughter wasn’t with them at the time but it became another painful reminder that no one is safe in the nation’s capital during the crime wave.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre couldn’t take the heat from reporters who peppered her about the Secret Service shooting at a press briefing.
Fox News correspondent Mark Meredith pressed her if Biden was going to meet with Washington, D.C. Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser about crime.
“Has the White House considered having Mayor Bowser back over here just to talk about crime in general?” Meredith asked.
“We are — we are in regular conversations with Mayor Bowser about an array of issues — a range of issues that — that is important to the residents here, obviously, in — in Washington, D.C,” Jean-Pierre stammered in response. “That is something that is continuous.”
She pointed to the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, which she claimed worked with Bowser as well as other Mayors and Governors around the country.
Jean-Pierre ducked the simple question about crime specifically giving a non-specific answer.
The crime wave in Washington, D.C., and other major Democrat-controlled cities was created by pro-crime policies such as no-cash bail, slaps on the wrist for serious crimes, and defunding the police.
The White House Press Secretary laughably tried to pin the blame on Republicans for rising crime because they didn’t vote for Biden’s wasteful spending.
“The President, again, put forth the American Rescue Plan, signed that into law, put billions of dollars into communities to help — help mayors and — and governors deal with crime in their city and their states,” Jean-Pierre said. “But Republicans aren’t serious. He put forth the Safer Americas Plan — $35 billion to continue to invest and make sure that we’re actually dealing with this type of crime. We don’t hear anything from them.”
Meredith tried to get in a follow-up question but the White House Press Secretary refused to take it.
“I’m sorry,” Meredith said. “But one follow-up.”
“I’m going to keep going. I’m going to keep going. I’m going to keep going,” a flustered Jean-Pierre exclaimed.
“Real quick,” Meredith shouted.
“No, I’m going to keep going,” Jean-Pierre said, telling another reporter to “Go ahead.”
Meredith tried to get in his question but the White House Press Secretary continued to duck him.
“Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead,” Jean-Pierre said to another reporter.
She can’t take the heat from reporters who won’t lob her softball questions.
Karine Jean-Pierre is refusing to answer the tough questions because she can’t defend Joe Biden’s massive failure on crime.
