Karine Jean-Pierre looked like a fool after Joe Biden forced her to defend this panic move

Joe Biden doesn’t make Karine Jean-Pierre’s job easy.

That doesn’t mean Jean-Pierre is a capable press secretary.

And now Karine Jean-Pierre looked like a fool after Joe Biden forced her to defend this panic move.

Joe Biden continues to empty the strategic petroleum reserve

The strategic petroleum reserve exists in case of an emergency.

Joe Biden treats it like his personal political piggy bank.

The administration announced it would release one million barrels of oil from a reserve in the Northeast created in the wake of superstorm Sandy – where some residents were left without power for weeks – in a bid to lower gas prices.

An average gallon of gasoline costs $3.59 nationally right now.

High gas prices always drive down Presidential approval numbers.

It was up to Biden’s underlings to defend Biden putting the nation at risk – if a crisis situation should arise, Americans can’t count on a full strategic reserve – because Biden fears he will lose to Donald Trump.

Karine Jean-Pierre defended the decision as one “to lower gas and energy costs — including historic releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and the largest-ever investment in clean energy.″

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm laughably claimed Biden’s number one goal was lowering the price at the pump.

“The Biden-Harris administration is laser-focused on lowering prices at the pump for American families, especially as drivers hit the road for summer driving season,” a statement from Granholm read.

“By strategically releasing this reserve in between Memorial Day and July 4th, we are ensuring sufficient supply flows to the tri-state and Northeast at a time hardworking Americans need it the most,” Granholm’s statement continued.

Biden’s real concern

Biden’s emptying the strategic petroleum reserve out of political desperation.

New swing state poll numbers from Bloomberg and Morning Consult show Trump leading Biden in five of the seven battlegrounds that will decide the winner of November’s election.

The best Biden can do is a one point lead in Michigan.

Biden tried this stunt in 2022 when he depleted the strategic petroleum reserve to its lowest levels since the 1980s.

“The bottom line is if we want lower gas prices we need to have more oil supply right now,” Biden said at the time. “This is a moment of consequence and peril for the world, and pain at the pump for American families.”

The gambit worked as Democrats kept their losses to a minimum.

But Joe Biden wasn’t on the ballot in 2022.

2024 is a referendum on his performance in office.

And the American people blame Biden for high gas prices and inflation.

They are right to.

Biden wants to ban gas-powered cars and force them to drive more expensive Bidenmobiles.

Biden ended constriction on the Keystone Pipelines and canceled new natural gas permits on federal land.

Every action Joe Biden took in office was to expand the Green New Deal by driving up the price of oil and natural gas.

Biden’s now in damage control mode, and he’s putting America’s energy security blanket at risk.
