An 11-year-old boy screamed for his mother when Kathy Griffin flashed his father's fake severed head on national TV.
Now Barron Trump is 20 – and Griffin just made him the punchline of her new tour.
Kathy Griffin dragged Barron Trump into her comeback tour – and the internet is done with her.
What Griffin Actually Said
Griffin sat down with Entertainment Weekly this week and decided the best way to promote her comeback tour was to joke about the President's son.
"Barron does," she said, when asked who still believes she wants to kill Trump.
"He'll send me a note once a month just saying, 'Don't kill my daddy.' But, you know Barron, he's the sensitive one. What can I do?"

That's the comedian who spent years insisting she meant no harm – using a 20-year-old man as a prop for her touring revival.
The White House declined to comment, which is exactly the dignity Barron Trump deserves.
The Night an 11-Year-Old Screamed for His Mother
In May 2017, Griffin posed for a photographer holding a bloody, decapitated mask made to look like President Trump's head.
Barron Trump – then 11 years old – was watching television when the image appeared on the screen.
Trump family sources told TMZ the boy had no idea who Griffin was and initially believed what he was seeing was real – that something had actually happened to his father.
President Trump responded publicly: "Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11-year-old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!"
Griffin issued an apology, then retracted it.
She later declared herself "uncanceled" in a February 2026 interview – saying she was "ahead of her time" with the photo.
Gavin Newsom Told Her She Was Right All Along
Griffin's "New Face, New Tour" runs through January 23, 2027 – followed by a Palm Springs residency.
She told Entertainment Weekly she's on a "mission" because the world needs people to laugh.

She's also been coaching fans to identify their MAGA neighbors and organize ICE resistance – which apparently qualifies as comedy in 2026.
Then there's Gavin Newsom – who had Griffin on his podcast earlier this year and told her that if she posted the decapitation photo today, it might generate "maybe a couple little blogs, back and forth" instead of a career-ending scandal.
California's governor – a man who drove his state to the edge of fiscal collapse and is now auditioning for a 2028 presidential run – used his platform to tell a woman who terrorized a child that she'd done nothing wrong.
That tells you everything about who these people are and what they think is acceptable.
The same woman who lost a third of her audience, got fired from CNN, and spent years unable to work in America is now presenting herself as a folk hero who paid her dues.
She Scared a Child and She's Still Proud of It
Here's what should make your blood boil.
Barron Trump has never entered politics.
He has never attacked Kathy Griffin.
He attended the State of the Union with his family in February, sat quietly, and kept his mouth shut.
He's 20 years old – and Griffin's response to the kid she traumatized is to use him as a monthly punchline.
She gets to make the joke.

Barron can't respond without it becoming a three-day media story about how the president's son is "coming after" a comedian.
That's the trap, and she knows it.
The left spent years defending Griffin as a brave truth-teller standing up to power.
This is what standing up to power looks like: mocking a young man who has never said a word in public about you, because his last name means he can't fight back.
Kathy Griffin isn't brave. She's a 65-year-old comedian recycling a nine-year-old scandal because it's the only interesting thing she's ever done – and she just proved it by making the kid she traumatized into her opening act.
