FBI and Department of Justice officials have been hiding key information from Congress.
The people’s elected representatives have had enough of this lawless behavior.
And one important Senator just blew up the Deep State’s efforts to hide the truth.
Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa is the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman.
Grassley has reached his wits end with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein refusing to hand over the unredacted text messages between anti-Trump FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
One of the messages from Strzok – sent just days after the FBI opened their investigation into Trump-Russia collusion – refers to the fact that the “White House is running this” but blacks out the Obama administration officials name.
Grassley is demanding to see the original message to get to the bottom of if the Obama administration injected politics into the election year investigation.
Fox News published a less redacted version of the exchange in which Strzok, on August 5th, 2016, wrote, “Went well, best we could have expected. Other than [REDACTED] quote, ‘the White House is running this.’”
“My answer, ‘well, maybe for you they are.’”
“Yeah, whatever (re WH comment). We’ve got emails that say otherwise,” Page responded.
Grassley requested the Justice Department hand over unredacted copies of the text messages to the Senate Judiciary Committee by June 6th.”
Learning which Obama administration official Strzok and Page were referring to could also help lead investigators to determine what the White House knew about the spy the FBI deployed to infiltrate the Trump campaign.
Until Congress gets the full picture of the active measures and cover operations the Obama administration ran against the Trump campaign, it will be impossible to get to the bottom of the wrongdoing.
Grassley’s letter is another important step in this process.
