Hillary’s health has been shrouded in mystery.
She suffered a concussion in 2012 which caused her doctors to only allow her to work a few hours each day and she admitted to FBI investigators that the effects of her brain trauma caused her not to remember every briefing she attended.
But new emails which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act by the group Citizens United show the cover up went back even further than first thought.
A 2009 email between Clinton aide Huma Abedin and Clinton Global Initiative employees Amitabh Desai and Ed Hughes showed Clinton needed a podium and could not walk around the stage to deliver her remarks.
In a 2009 email exchange between top Clinton aide Huma Abedin and Clinton Global Initiative employees Amitabh Desai and Ed Hughes, Abedin revealed that Clinton could not walk around the stage like her husband Bill Clinton and would need a podium for an upcoming address.
“Just want to make sure someone has coordinated with you on hrc speech set up,” Abedin wrote. “She won’t be able to give it in the round like [Bill Clinton] does walking around with microphone,” she explained. “Are we able to set it up so shes speaking at a podium [sic]?
Hughes told Abedin that a high table that doubles as a podium would be on the stage for Clinton’s use, but also noted that “the room is set ‘stage in the round’ with the circular stage in the center of the round, audience all around in concentric circles . . . similar to some of last year’s campaign rallies with public in the background.”
Critics have noted that in this campaign, Clinton constantly needed to be seated or behind a podium to perform at events.
She cannot give freewheeling speeches like her husband or other politicians where they interact with the audience and work the room.
Speculation about Clinton’s health has been bubbling up all campaign.
But it reached a boiling point when she collapsed at the 15th anniversary memorial for the 9/11 attacks in New York City.
Her campaign initially lied to the press and said her fall was due to being “overheated.”
But hours later they changed their story and claimed she had allegedly been diagnosed with pneumonia.
This email demonstrates that the worries about Clinton’s health go back years beyond where we first have documented instances of failing health.
