Leftist Lawyers Just Tried to Cancel UFC at the White House and Got Destroyed by the Trump Team

Theodore Roosevelt used to box opponents in the White House until one of them punched him blind in one eye.

Now Donald Trump is putting the UFC octagon on the South Lawn to celebrate America's 250th birthday.

A left-wing legal group just tried to stop it – and the White House handed them something worse than a rear-naked choke.

The Lawsuit Nobody Asked For

The Public Integrity Project – a watchdog group that has never won a fight it picked with Trump – filed an emergency lawsuit Saturday demanding a federal judge shut down UFC Freedom 250 before June 14.

Their plaintiffs are a political activist who organizes protests at the Lincoln Memorial and a Vietnam War veteran.

The complaint calls the event "deeply corrupt" and argues it benefits Dana White, Trump, and a cast of allies at public expense.

Here's what they're conveniently leaving out.

The UFC is giving away 85,000 free tickets to the Ellipse so any American who wants to watch can show up.

Military families get priority seating inside the South Lawn.

The weigh-ins are happening at the Lincoln Memorial – not in some corporate arena charging $400 a seat.

None of that fits the "private, for-profit spectacle" narrative, so the lawsuit ignores it.

The White House called the filing "obstructionist, baseless, and dilatory" and said the event is no different from the White House-hosted events on the South Lawn and properly permitted events on the Ellipse and National Mall held throughout the year.

What the Left Actually Hates About This

The lawsuit cites Trump's purchase of up to $50,000 in TKO Group Holdings stock – the UFC's parent company – as proof of a corrupt scheme.

Trump's personal net worth is measured in billions.

A $50,000 stock position is the kind of thing your uncle buys after watching a UFC pay-per-view.

The real problem for the left is simpler: 85,000 Americans showing up to the White House lawn to watch Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje fight for the lightweight title is a massive, visual, undeniable celebration of Trump's America.

Working-class Americans. Combat sports. The flag. The Ellipse. Free tickets.

That's the image Democrats cannot let exist six weeks before the midterm season heats up.

The Public Integrity Project filed for an emergency restraining order, and the case landed with Judge Amit Mehta – an Obama appointee.

Every previous lawsuit targeting Trump's White House construction and renovation projects has failed to stop a single one.

This one has six days to succeed.

The Left Has One Playbook and They Keep Running It

The plaintiffs include a Vietnam War veteran named Paul Romano – who the left is using as a human shield for a lawsuit that 85,000 Americans standing on the Ellipse with free tickets would laugh at.

Dana White already answered for himself.

"I don't give a s— if my friendship with Trump costs me business," White told Fox News. "This was Trump's idea."

Democrats couldn't stop Trump's border wall through Congress, so they filed lawsuits.

They couldn't stop the travel ban through elections, so they found an Obama judge.

They couldn't stop J6 pardons, monument renovations, or deportation flights – so they filed emergency injunctions and let the headlines do the work.

Now UFC Freedom 250 is six days away, the octagon is already standing on the South Lawn, and the same machine is running the same play.

The left gets another week of "federal lawsuit" and "corruption" in the same sentence as Trump's name – and that's the actual prize.

Trump is giving 85,000 Americans a free night at the People's House to watch the best fighters on earth compete under the flag.

The left is trying to cancel it with a complaint about environmental review paperwork.

That tells you everything you need to know about who's actually celebrating America's 250th birthday – and who can't stand the sight of it.
