Liberals can’t see past Jeff Sessions being an old white male from Alabama.
In their minds, he might as well be parading around in a white hood and robe.
But you won’t believe the contrived controversy over his latest comments.
“Journalists” on Twitter were SHOCKED by comments Attorney General Jeff Sessions made at the National Sheriff’s Association Conference.
There, Sessions said, “The office of Sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement.”
From the level of outrage by BlueCheckMarks on Twitter, you’d think Jeff Sessions had just come out in favor of stripping blacks of the right to vote.
It all started when Vice News’ Tess Owens first noted Sessions’ remarks.
Important to note that he could have very likely been referring to the organizational structures of policing from Britain that the US adopted. Still, he should know better than to use such loaded language

While she concedes “he could have very likely been referring” to our shared Common Law history with Great Britain, she scolds him for using “such loaded language.”
But it only gets worse from there . . .
Here’s the response from renowned race-baiter Tariq Nasheed:
Jeff Sessions did a speech and said “the office of Sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement.” He wanted to go on record with the ANGLO-AMERICAN description. He went full white supremacy, and every Black and non-white sheriff should be insulted pic.twitter.com/F0PYS5j7es

Actress Alyssa Milano called for Sessions to be fired:
This is the attorney general of the United States of America. Jeff Sessions should be fired immediately. https://t.co/jhFhxk3rrq

Frequent CNN guest and former Bernie for President spokesperson Symone Sanders shouted:
Like i said previously: HE IS A WHOLE WHITE SUPREMACIST!!!!!!!!!!! Y’all this is a direct quote. https://t.co/QxnZDTEFEa
— Symone D. Sanders (@SymoneDSanders) February 12, 2018
CNN’s official account even jumped in:

Of course, the Department of Justice’s spokesperson had to issue a pretty straightforward statement to clear the air:
“As most law students learn in the first week of their first year, Anglo-American law — also known as the common law — is a shared legal heritage between England and America. The sheriff is unique to that shared legal heritage. Before reporters sloppily imply nefarious meaning behind the term, we would suggest that they read any number of the Supreme Court opinions that use the term. Or they could simply put ‘Anglo-American law’ into Google.”
No, Jeff Sessions is not a racist for using the term “Anglo-American.” And no, it wasn’t a racist dog whistle to his supposed white supremacist brethren.
Otherwise, liberals will have to start compiling a whole new list of academic books to ban like this one published by Princeton University Press in 1990 entitled: “The American Revolution In the Law: Anglo-American Jurisprudence before John Marshall.”
Where’s the (faux) outrage over this entire body of academic literature?
