Meghan Markle is under fire over this ugly mistake

Meghan Markle never makes news for good reasons.

The Duchess of Sussex is one of the most infamous celebrities on the planet.

And now Meghan Markle is under fire over this ugly mistake.

Markle’s new career in lifestyle branding off to a rocky start

Meghan Markle debuted her new venture – American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam when fashion designer Tracy Robbins and Delfina Blaquier, who is married to Polo star Nacho Figueras, posted stories to their Instagram accounts promoting Markle’s strawberry jam.

Markle faced immediate criticism for the timing of this product launch and for its substance.

Host of To Di For Daily podcast Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital that Markle could have taken this moment as an opportunity to mend fences with the Royal Family following King Charles and Princess Kate Middelton both announcing cancer diagnoses.

“Her ultimate objective today is to build an empire, change public perception through related Netflix content, and build a lifestyle brand through retail and content creation,” Schofield stated. “But some might see it as Meghan just reverting back to influencer. This is a space that she feels confident in, so she could make it work, but compared to the hype that surrounded her upon exiting the royal family . . . this feels like settling for something very . . . shallow.”

Schofield believed Markle and her husband Prince Harry could have come out looking like aces had they put their personal beef aside and stood by the side of a family dealing with personal crises.

Instead, they look like low-rent social media influencers.

“Had Meghan had patience and more respect for the royal institution, 2024 would have been the year that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saved the day, saved the monarchy,” Schofield added. “It would have been their time to shine. Instead, Meghan is dropping off preserve baskets to the 1% in Santa Barbara. So much for living a life of service.”

New product lines call into question Harry and Meghan’s mission statement

Harry and Meghan decamped from England to California in 2020, claiming a racist British media chased them out of the country.

But they turned into villains after they quit the Royal Family after smearing them as racists in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

Upon relinquishing their royal duties, the couple released a statement announcing their new mission to “live a life of service.”

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich scoffed at that announcement, telling Fox News marketing strawberry jam to California’s rich and famous didn’t meet any definition of service to others.

“The former power couple, who were going to change lives for the better, influence world opinion and leaders, improve the environment and declared their life of service with their ‘service is universal’ statement, are now reduced to flogging jam,” Fordwich declared.

“Since they have publicly preached humanitarianism, what happened to helping the poor and starving?” Fordwich concluded. “One wonders if the proceeds from the jam will be donated to humanitarian causes. Is she going to feed them her jam? In keeping with their charitable and humanitarian causes, perhaps all the proceeds will be donated?”
