Megyn Kelly is once again at the center of a massive controversy.
She’s had numerous gaffes since moving to NBC.
But this could be the worst crisis of her career.
Kelly got in hot water on a recent broadcast when she claimed it was normal for kids when she was growing up to dress up in blackface for Halloween.
The NBC host was in the middle of a segment discussing the oppressive political correctness that now governs Halloween.
Kelly had been attacking social justice warriors who claim anyone who dresses up in a Mexican or Native American Indian costume is guilty of “cultural appropriation.
But when she moved on to blackface everything hit the fan.
Journalists and social media users attacked Kelly for claiming white people dressing up in blackface was not a racist costume.
Kelly new she was in trouble and sent an email to NBC staff apologizing.
Then she went on the air the next day and delivered a tearful on-camera apology.
You can watch her full remarks below.
"I want to begin with two words, I'm sorry..The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor..Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too." Megyn Kelly pic.twitter.com/6hHrvZLNvK
