Megyn Kelly made her name feuding with Donald Trump.
But she just picked a fight with another 2016 candidate.
And what she said about Hillary Clinton left everyone buzzing.
On the latest broadcast of her struggling show, Kelly was discussing Oprah Winfrey’s possible 2020 candidacy.
Her guest – MSNBC political analyst Steve Kornacki – compared her to Hillary Clinton and claimed Clinton fell short because she could not tell a story.
But Kelly cut in and claimed that the real failing of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy was that over the course of 25 years she failed to inspire anyone.
The Daily Caller reports:
“Megyn Kelly claimed on her show Tuesday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton never inspired anybody during her 25 years in public service.
Kelly offered criticism for the former Democratic presidential candidate while discussing whether or not Oprah should run for president in 2020. Steve Kornacki, an analyst for MSNBC, was a guest during the segment and said Oprah is a good public speaker who gave an inspirational speech at The Golden Globes.
“Think about the 2016 campaign,” said Kornacki, “and think about Hillary Clinton’s struggles as a candidate. One thing Hillary Clinton never successfully did in 25 years on the public stage was tell a story.”
Kelly interrupted, saying, “was inspire anybody”.
Kelly attacking Clinton stunned observers.
She could have been expressing frustration over Hillary losing to her nemesis Donald Trump.
Or she could have been trying to create a viral moment to boost attention to her struggling show.
