Merrick Garland is panicking after Ted Cruz made this shocking request

Attorney General Merrick Garland is up to his ears in problems.

One crisis put his back against the wall.

And Merrick Garland is panicking after Ted Cruz made this shocking request.

The Biden regime is in crisis mode from the widening classified documents scandal involving President Joe Biden.

After the first batch of highly sensitive documents were found stuffed in a closet at Biden’s Chinese funded think tank, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declared that the search was over.

However, another batch was found in the garage of the President’s Delaware home a few hours later.

So far, five total batches of classified documents have been found in Joe Biden’s possession.

Most of the classified documents are from his time as Vice President, but some stretch all the way back to his days in the Senate.

The ever-increasing number of classified documents stolen by the President is raising serious questions about how many more are out there.

Ted Cruz (R-TX) is calling on the Justice Department to search for classified documents at the University of Delaware, which houses Biden’s papers from his Senate career.

“The next step in this scandal is going to be, okay, if Biden’s Senate documents include classified documents outside of classified settings — which is illegal — how many more classified documents are illegally in his Senate papers?” Cruz asked on his Verdict with Ted Cruz podcast.

Biden donated papers and documents from his Senate career that stretched from 1973 to 2009 to the University of Delaware.

The school has stated that it won’t make any of Biden’s documents public until two years after he’s retired from public office.

“And here’s where this matters in particular, which is that the University of Delaware has more than 1850 boxes of records from Joe Biden’s Senate tenure which he gave to the University of Delaware,” Cruz continued. “Now the University of Delaware presumably does not have them in a SCIF. It does not have them in a secure location.”

Classified documents are supposed to be viewed in a security room called an SCIF, which stands for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.

Leaving classified documents floating around a public facility is a massive security risk.

It is also illegal.

“I am right now calling for the Department of Justice, for the FBI to examine all 1850 boxes of those Senate records to see how many additional classified documents are in those records,” Cruz exclaimed. “The answer should be none. But given Biden’s pattern, we should have zero reason [to] have any confidence that there are not multiple classified documents within those 1850 boxes of Senate records.”

Biden’s documents at the University of Delaware have been at the center of a controversy before.

Former Senate staffer Tara Reade accused Biden of sexual assault and said the University had documents that would support her claim.

The University blocked a Delaware Freedom of Information Act request by conservative journalists to access the papers.

The University of Delaware could become the latest front in Joe Biden’s growing classified documents scandal.
