Attorney General Merrick Garland ignored the law and weaponized the Justice Department against the regime’s enemies.
But Garland’s lawless actions are coming back to bite him.
And Merrick Garland sat in stunned silence after Jim Jordan made one major decision.
Attorney General Merrick Garland turned the Justice Department into an enforcement arm of the Democrat Party.
The allegations of Garland’s politicization of the FBI and Justice Department are piling up, as dozens of whistleblowers have come forward over the past several months.
Now, a potential House Republican majority is laying the groundwork to launch a major investigation into the terrifying weaponization of the Justice Department under Garland’s direction.
Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee released a 1,000-page document detailing the politicization of the FBI and Justice Department based on whistleblower sources within the Bureau.
Jim Jordan (R-OH) is a top Republican watchdog and is poised to lead the powerful House Judiciary Committee in a potential GOP majority.
The 1,000-page report describes a “systemic culture of unaccountability” within the “rotted at its core” FBI.
Cited in the report are five major abuses of power by the FBI’s leadership, such as falsely labeling concerned parents who protested at school board meetings as domestic terrorists, clearing out Bureau whistleblowers by removing their security clearances, and inflating domestic terrorism statistics.
“The FBI has abused its foreign intelligence authorities to spy on American citizens, including people associated with the campaign of President Trump in 2016,” the report noted.
Finally, the report explained how the FBI is pulling resources away from its primary job of fighting crime to go after conservatives.
One FBI whistleblower revealed that the Bureau is abandoning investigations into child trafficking to prioritize January 6.
While 1,000 pages of abuses are detailed in the report, a Congressional investigation by Jordan could reveal even more.
“This report presents what is known so far about the extent of problems festering within the FBI’s Washington bureaucracy,” the report stated. “There is likely much more to be uncovered in the months ahead. But from what is known, it is clear the FBI needs repair.”
A Republican House Judiciary Staffer told Axios that the report is a roadmap for a Jordan-led investigation in the next Congress.
“This report is a roadmap of where [Jordan] will go,” the staffer said. “Lots of whistleblowers are coming out of the woodwork to complain about the FBI. Jordan is pursuing these vectors into the FBI.”
A day of reckoning could be coming for the massive abuses of power by Merrick Garland’s Justice Department.
