Mike Johnson picked this bad fight that backfired in a major way

House Speaker Mike Johnson had a decision to make.

Johnson chose poorly.

And Mike Johnson picked this bad fight that backfired in a major way.

Johnson caves to Biden on Ukraine

Mike Johnson (R-LA) has done nothing but surrender to Joe Biden since taking over as Speaker of the House.

Johnson folded in a fight over government spending, eventually caving on a $1.2 trillion bill that fully funded a red flag gun confiscation operation, Biden’s open borders plan to traffic illegal aliens into America, and transgender ideology.

Then Johnson cast the tie-breaking vote to kill an amendment to require the government to obtain a warrant before spying on American citizens.

Johnson rubberstamped the ability of Joe Biden’s weaponized government to target Donald Trump and his supporters with illegal spying, just like during the Russia collusion hoax.

And now Johnson is preparing to put the biggest taxpayer giveaway to Ukraine on the floor of the House since Joe Biden began escalating the war with Russia.

Johnson pulled this stunt while abandoning his promise to pair any funding for Ukraine with real policy changes that forced Joe Biden to seal the border.

Johnson faces a motion to vacate

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a motion to vacate the chair and boot Johnson as Speaker.

Greene blasted Johnson as a servant of the Swamp who fought for Democrat priorities and out conservatives.

“Johnson is the Deep State Speaker of the House funding the Democrat’s agenda in an omnibus, blocking warrant requirements for FISA, this week ramming through billions for Ukraine, and now this after allowing Gallagher to leave his district without representation. Can’t continue,” Greene wrote.

To secure the votes to oust Johnson, Greene only needs one Republican to join her.

Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman reported that in a GOP conference meeting, Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) told his colleagues he would cosponsor the motion to vacate.

Massie confirmed this reporting on social media, explaining that he told Johnson he should resign as John Boehner once did in the face of a motion to vacate so the conference could pick a new Republican Speaker of the House.

“I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by  @RepMTG. He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker,” Massie wrote.

Johnson ascended to the Speakership by making big promises about how conservatives finally had one of their own wielding the gavel.

But Johnson turned out to be another establishment RINO, whose true base were the lobbyists, bureaucrats, and Deep State agents who hold permanent power in Washington, D.C.
