Mike Pence had this insane reaction to Liz Cheney losing her Primary

Republican voters fired Liz Cheney in her Primary election last Tuesday.

The conservative base sent a message that they were fed up with Never-Trump RINOs like Liz Cheney.

But Mike Pence had this insane reaction to Liz Cheney losing her Primary.

Liz Cheney lost her Primary in blowout fashion to Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman by 67 to 29 percent.

The near 40-point loss was a historic rebuke for the daughter of a former Vice President.

Republican voters sent Cheney packing because she not only voted to impeach President Trump, but also served as the face of Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Committee.

Cheney also made it abundantly clear that she wants Joe Biden to indict, arrest, prosecute, and jail Donald Trump over what happened on January 6.

Former Vice President Mike Pence traveled to the Iowa State Fair as part of his preparation for a 2024 Presidential campaign.

At the state fair, Pence made news by taking a neutral position on Cheney’s landslide loss.

“My reaction was, the people of Wyoming have spoken,” Pence told the Associated Press. “And, you know, I accept their judgment about the kind of representation they want on Capitol Hill.”

Pence also praised Cheney by falsely claiming she was a lifelong conservative.

“And I appreciate the conservative stance Congresswoman Cheney has taken over the years,” Pence continued. “But I’ve been disappointed in the partisan taint of the January 6 committee from early on.”

Liz Cheney spent the last 18 months trying to impeach, investigate, and imprison Donald Trump.

Conservatives completely turned against Cheney, who only won 29 percent of the vote in her Primary because thousands of Democrats crossed over to vote for her.

But Mike Pence wants to run for President in 2024.

That means Pence would be challenging Donald Trump in the Republican Primary.

Pence has no hope of winning over the Trump base because of what happened on January 6.

That leaves Pence with the only option of running as the establishment-backed moderate in 2024.

To win the backing of the Washington, D.C. Swamp and donor class, Pence has to make nice with Liz Cheney and other Never-Trump RINOs.

But by trying not to antagonize Liz Cheney and her establishment backers like Mitch McConnell, Pence further eroded any support he once had with conservatives.
