Former Vice President Mike Pence is no longer dancing around the subject.
Pence is in open war with Donald Trump.
And Mike Pence made one challenge to Donald Trump that will leave you speechless.
Mike Pence just made it clear that he is done with Donald Trump and is getting ready to run for President in 2024.
Pence campaigned with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp on the day before the May 24 Primary.
Donald Trump endorsed former Senator David Perdue to run against Kemp as his handpicked candidate.
Trump – whose endorsement powered Kemp to victory in 2018 – soured on Kemp after he refused Donald Trump’s plea to reject the results in Georgia in 2020 on account of the former President’s claims of voter fraud.
Kemp explained that the law gave him no other option but to certify the results showing Joe Biden winning the state by around 12,000 votes.
Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich put out a statement to the New York Times explaining that Pence was on track to lose his 2016 re-election bid after he folded to a woke corporate mob and rescinded religious freedom legislation.
“Mike Pence was set to lose a Governor’s race in 2016 before he was plucked up and his political career was salvaged,” Budowich’s statement read. “Now, desperate to chase his lost relevance, Pence is parachuting into races, hoping someone is paying attention. The reality is, President Trump is already 82-3 with his endorsements, and there’s nothing stopping him from saving America in 2022 and beyond.”
But the real news coming out of Pence’s visit to Georgia was the former Vice President declining to rule out a 2024 Presidential campaign even if Donald Trump decides to run again.
The New York Times reported:
In an interview before a speech last month in Iowa, Mr. Pence pointedly declined to rule out running even if Mr. Trump also enters the 2024 primary. “We’ll go where we’re called,” Mr. Pence said, explaining that he and his wife would act on prayer. “That’s the way Karen and I have always approached these things.”
Pence running against Donald Trump would be unprecedented.
A former Vice President running against his previous boss has never happened before.
Polls show that Donald Trump holds a commanding lead over Mike Pence in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.
Pence seems determined to run.
But it looks like a suicide mission.
