Donald Trump and Mike Pence had a very public split.
Now Mike Pence wants a comeback for a 2024 Presidential campaign.
And Mike Pence told Sean Hannity something about Donald Trump that took everyone by surprise.
Appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News Channel program, Pence discussed the events of January 6 and his falling out with Trump.
Trump claimed Pence had the power to reject certified results of Electoral College counts from the states because of alleged voter fraud.
Pence pointed to the 12th Amendment to the Constitution and stated that Trump was wrong and that Pence’s only job was to act in a ceremonial fashion and count the results as the states submitted them.
Trump and Pence would talk through their differences and parted amicably.
Pence then focused on the corporate media’s false claim that January 6 was an insurrection intended to overthrow the U.S. government.
Some people acted violently that day.
Others just aimlessly wandered around the Capitol and took selfies.
But the whole ordeal was over in about three hours and Congress certified the results of the 2020 election that night.
Pence told Hannity he believed the corporate media lavished so much attention of the events of that day to take the American people’s eyes off the fact that Joe Biden has failed on the economy, on the border, and in Afghanistan.
The former Vice President added that he believed the corporate media devoted so much coverage to that day in order to smear the 74,000,000 Trump voters and poison the image of the GOP in the minds of voters heading into the 2022 election.
“I know the media wants to distract from the Biden administration’s failed agenda by focusing on one day in January. They want to use that one day to try and demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again and supported our administration in 2016 and 2020,” Pence stated.
