Mitt Romney escalated his feud with Donald Trump to another level.
The founding father of the Never-Trump movement thought he finally found his opportunity to kick Donald Trump out of the GOP.
And Mitt Romney had one reaction to the Capitol Hill riot that will have Donald Trump seeing red.
Protesters broke into the Capitol building and disrupted the certification of the Electoral College.
After the disruption, Mitt Romney blistered President Trump in a statement falsely blaming President Trump for the violence at the Capitol.
“We gather today due to a selfish man’s injured pride and the outrage of his supporters whom he has deliberately misinformed for the past two months and stirred to action this very morning. What happened here today was an insurrection, incited by the President of the United States,” Romney wrote.
Romney then attacked Senators Josh Hawley and others who planned to object to state’s certifying the Electoral College votes to raise objections about Big Tech rigging the election and for allegations of voter fraud that needed to be investigated.
“Those who choose to continue to support his dangerous gambit by objecting to the results of a legitimate, democratic election will forever be seen as being complicit in an unprecedented attack against our democracy. They will be remembered for their role in this shameful episode in American history. That will be their legacy,” Romney added.
Senator Hawley rejected Romney’s advice to surrender and raised his objection to certifying Pennsylvania’s Electoral College votes once the joint session of Congress reconvened.
Mitt Romney never condemned Antifa or Black Lives Matter for their riots.
In fact, Romney marched with Black Lives Matter and expressed his act of submission by chanting their slogans on camera.
Republican voters turned to Donald Trump because they were tired of RINOs like Mitt Romney who hate conservatives and work at every turn to defeat them while at the same time accommodating the Left.
