Mitt Romney just couldn’t fade away after he lost the 2012 Presidential election.
He’s determined to be a thorn in the side of conservatives.
And Mitt Romney just sold out conservatives with this infuriating betrayal.
The pandemic has turned into a once in a lifetime power grab for the radical Left.
While Blue states around the country have been rolling back restrictions, the fight continues in Washington.
Democrats are trying to quietly keep their pandemic power grabs going.
Joe Biden extended the federal state of emergency over COVID.
Every Democrat in the Senate voted to keep it in place.
Senator Rand Paul has been leading the charge to end the federal pandemic restrictions.
The federal mask mandate on airplanes and public transportation is one of the last ones standing.
Biden quietly extended the mandate again through April 18th, and is widely expected to keep it going even longer.
Senator Paul introduced a bill in the Senate to end the airline mask mandate.
The bill passed the Senate by a 57-40 vote, with eight Democrats voting in favor of it.
The lone Republican to vote against this common sense bill was Mitt Romney.
Romney’s office explained his vote by saying that the Senator felt the decision was best left to public health officials, and not to politicians.
After failures and abuse of power by “experts” like Anthony Fauci, Romney decided that the decisions are best left to them.
Romney throwing his lot in with Fauci’s failed leadership is a stunning betrayal to conservatives and common sense.
He was elected to make decisions.
But instead of doing his job, Romney passed the buck to Fauci.
As a Senator, Mitt is supposed to consider the facts and make a decision.
Instead, he chose to give more power to unelected bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci to rule over Americans.
But this was just the beginning of Romney’s mask mandate betrayal.
On a Senate Committee, Romney voted against a bill to end the federal mask and vaccines mandates on Head Start.
Head Start is a federal preschool program that requires children as young as two years old to wear a mask.
Again, Romney was the only Republican committee to vote against the bill.
Despite the science being well established that masks for children are ineffective, spineless Mitt Romney once again deferred to Fauci.
Even two of the most left-wing Republican Senators, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, voted to end it.
While some establishment Republicans have talked him up as a potential 2024 Never Trump candidate, this betrayal will end any speculation.
Unfortunately for conservatives, Romney’s term isn’t up until 2024.
With Romney anchored in the Senate, this RINO will be a thorn in the side of conservatives for years to come.
