Nancy Pelosi broke down when asked one brutal question about the Supreme Court

You can count Nancy Pelosi among the many leftists losing it over the Supreme Court potentially overturning Roe v. Wade.

The Left is facing their biggest policy defeat in the last 50 years.

And now Nancy Pelosi broke down when asked one brutal question about the Supreme Court.

In an interview with CBS, Nancy Pelosi tried to frame the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade as a rallying cry for Democrats to turn out and vote this November.

Pelosi claimed that if Democrats grew their Senate majority this November, Chuck Schumer would eliminate the legislative filibuster and ram through a nationwide law codifying Roe v. Wade.

“I do think that it puts an urgency on what’s happening in the election. Two more- one or two more senators could sweep back the filibuster rule for this purpose, and then women would have a right to choose,” Pelosi began.

Pelosi then began stammering about how overturning Roe v. Wade was “disrespectful” to women and that it was an affront that the draft opinion leaked just before Mother’s Day.

“This is about something so serious and so personal and so disrespectful of women. Here we are on Mother’s Day, a week where the Court has slapped women in the face in terms of disrespect for their judgments about the size and timing of their families.,” Pelosi added.

Pelosi repeated the false claim that Trump’s Supreme Court nominees lied to Congress in saying that Roe v. Wade was settled law.

She then expressed her hope that at least one of the Court’s conservatives would switch their vote on maintaining Roe.

“So, the fact is, let’s keep our eye on the ball. The ball is in the court of those Justices. One of them at least said over and over again that precedent had been established again and again on Roe v. Wade and that – so this decision is about being anti-precedent and anti-privacy and has serious ramifications as we go – as we go down this path and has to be softened. And I don’t think there’s a good outcome, but there’s a better outcome as far as this is concerned,” Pelosi continued.

CBS anchor Margaret Brennan then asked Pelosi if it was a mistake for Barack Obama not to push for a national abortion law back in 2009, when Democrats held a 60-seat filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

At first, Pelosi answered by bizarrely claiming that the opinion was “fake,” even though Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the draft’s authenticity.

“If I just may, the focus we have right now is an urgent one in order to uh … uh … try to improve, try to improve this — we’re calling a ‘fake’ or ‘draft’ decision — whatever it is. I think that this is a waste of time,” Pelosi started to answer before claiming that “the fact is that in [2009] we really did not have a pro-choice Democratic Party. I had to fight against some of the people who did not want to pass the Affordable Care Act because they were concerned that it might enable more freedom of choice.”

Nancy Pelosi is headed for historic defeats in 2022.

Not only is Pelosi on track to lose the majority for a second time, but she is about to see the Supreme Court potentially overturn one of the foundational policy priorities of the Democrat Party.
