Control of the U.S. Senate is up for grabs in 2024.
But no one saw this coming.
And Nancy Pelosi just made a bombshell U.S. Senate announcement.
Democrats want 89-year-old Senator Dianne Feinstein to retire.
For the last several years, there have been rumors in Washington, D.C. that Feinstein is in a state of cognitive decline that may even be worse than Joe Biden.
Ambitious California Democrats see a lifetime job in the Senate and want to push Feinstein out rather than wait another six years.
One of those Democrats hoping to force Feinstein out of the race is Adam Schiff.
Schiff announced his candidacy with a video on social media.

Now Schiff has the backing of the most powerful Democrat in California.
While she was careful to praise Feinstein, Pelosi released a statement announcing she would endorse Adam Schiff if Feinstein retired.
“If she decides not to run, I will be supporting House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, who knows well the nexus between a strong Democracy and a strong economy,” Pelosi wrote.
Pelosi used the usual Democrat mumbo jumbo about protecting democracy as to why she backed Schiff.
“In his service in the House, he has focused on strengthening our Democracy with justice and on building an economy that works for all,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi then praised Schiff’s leadership on the Russian collusion hoax and the Ukraine impeachment scam as evidence that Democrats could trust him to lead anti-Trump and anti-conservative witch hunts.
“Every time I have asked Adam to take on the tough fight against extremist forces, he has responded with integrity, strength, and success,” Pelosi wrote.
Pelosi then included the typical false claims that American democracy will collapse if Democrats lose the election.
“America is at a crossroads. We can continue to lift our communities, strengthen our economy, and defend our Democracy — or let Republicans roll back our progress, threaten our freedoms, and give tax breaks to the wealthy special interests,” Pelosi added. “In 2024, the fight for America’s future is on the ballot.”
Adam Schiff was Nancy Pelosi’s go-to hatchet man in the House of Representatives.
And now Pelosi wants Schiff to play that role in the U.S. Senate.
