Nancy Pelosi just wrote a major insult to Brett Kavanaugh that will not make him happy

Democrats cannot get over the fact that Republican-appointed justices out number liberal justices on the Supreme Court.

Now they are courting open rebellion.

And Nancy Pelosi just wrote a major insult to Brett Kavanaugh that will not make him happy.

On Saturday night an eviction moratorium expired that had been imposed at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Centers for Disease Control initially extended the program last September claiming it was part of its public health powers.

Last month Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh handed down a ruling stating that the CDC’s extension of the eviction moratorium was unconstitutional and that since it was set to expire on July 31, only Congress could extend it.

But Democrats could not muster up 218 votes in the House of Representatives for an extension and left town for a six-week August recess.

To try and cover up their failure, Pelosi and her allies in leadership penned a joint statement demanding the administration unilaterally extend the eviction moratorium.

“Action is needed, and it must come from the Administration,” the statement read. “That is why House leadership is calling on the Administration to immediately extend the moratorium.”

Since the Democrats could not cite the constitution for continuing this policy, the Democrats instead played the pandemic card.

“As the CDC doubles down on mask-wearing and vaccination efforts, science and reason demand that they must also extend the moratorium in light of the delta variant,” the Democrats added.

Pelosi and her allies urged the administration to lean on state and local governments to distribute taxpayer money to bail out renters as well as unilaterally extend the eviction moratorium.

“The virus is still a threat. The moratorium must be extended, and the funds Congress allocated to assist renters and landlords must be spent,” Pelosi and her allies wrote. “An extension of the moratorium is based on public health and the delta variant. It will also give more time to allow the money that Congress allocated to finally flow.”

“We call upon the Treasury Department to indicate how the funds that it has already transferred to states and communities can be more effectively distributed to renters and landlords,” the Democrats declared.

Nowhere in the statement did Pelosi acknowledge the Supreme Court ruling.

If the Biden administration follows Pelosi’s suggestion, Biden would be in open defiance of a Supreme Court Justice’s decision.

Pelosi knows all this.

But the left is furious, and Pelosi wants to point the finger of blame elsewhere.
