Usually, it’s up to the President to make the case for his agenda and build the public support that forces lawmakers to come together and compromise.
Instead, Nancy Pelosi blamed the corporate media for not doing a good enough job in carrying the Democrats’ water by promoting Joe Biden’s talking points on why Democrats need to transform America into a socialist economy.
“Well, I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you,” Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. “Because every time I come here I go through the list, family medical leave, climate, the issues that are in there.”
Pelosi continued on, complaining about how complex the bill was and that the media needed to do a much better job of pushing the Left’s propaganda about how big government socialism will supposedly enhance their lives:
“It is hard to break through when you have such a comprehensive package,” Pelosi added. “But as we narrow it down and put it out there I think that — for example, one of the things in the bill is the continuation of the Biden tax credit, the child tax credit that is within the rescue package. That has great appeal. Do people know where it springs from? No, but it is a vast bill. It has a lot in it and we will have to continue to make sure the public does. But whether they know what or not, they overwhelmingly support it. And by the way, women much more than men.”
There are no more loyal supporters for the Democrat Party than corporate media members.
Critics contend that Nancy Pelosi must believe Joe Biden and his Big Government agenda must be in true dire straits if Pelosi is lashing out at reporters for being insufficiently biased in favor of Joe Biden’s agenda.
