Democrats are determined to destroy President Trump even though he is leaving office in less than 10 days.
They want to drop the hammer on President Trump.
And now Nancy Pelosi went nuclear on Donald Trump with this impeachment announcement.
Democrats David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Jamie Raskin of Maryland, and Ted Lieu of California introduced a single article of impeachment against President Trump claiming he incited last Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol.
“In all this, President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of Government,” the resolution reads. “He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”
The resolution also cited a section of the 14th Amendment intended to prevent former confederate officers and soldiers from holding office.
But Democrats’ blind rage to impeach President Trump is creating a new headache.
Should the House of Representatives impeach President Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell circulated a memo explaining that the earliest a Senate trial could begin is January 19.
If a single Senator objects – and one certainly will – that means the trial will not start until 1PM on January 20, which would be one hour after Joe Biden is sworn in as President.
When the Senate conducts an impeachment trial it cannot perform any other business.
That means the first several weeks of a Biden administration will be 100 percent consumed by a vindictive impeachment trial against a President who is already out of office.
Joe Biden will not get votes on any cabinet secretaries and no legislation will move.
With Democrats holding total control of Washington, D.C. the only thing stopping Joe Biden from imposing the Left’s socialist agenda on America is the Democrats’ desire to impeach President Trump.
