The NFL saw another ratings drop and it was because of this unbelievable reason

One negative headline that dogged the NFL throughout the season was the decline in ratings.

TV ratings were down eight percent in 2016 and that trend continued in the Super Bowl, where the league’s title game saw another ratings decline.

But the media is trying to cover up the shocking reason behind the league’s ratings slump.

In 2016, the NFL took a hard turn to the left.

San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem because he believed America systematically oppresses blacks.

Polls by YouGov and Rasmussen found viewers listed Kapernick’s protest as the number one reason they tuned out the League.

That trend of left-wing activism continued at the Super Bowl.

And it may have cost the NFL viewers.

Super Bowl XLI saw a slight decrease in viewers when it drew a 48.8 rating which was down from last year’s 49.

Media members hounded Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady over his friendship with President Trump.

Other players, like Patriots Tight End Martellus Bennett announced he would refuse to attend the White House ceremony if they won to protest Trump.

Heading into the game, the media breathlessly reported that anti-Trump singer Lady Gaga would use her halftime performance to slam Trump and make it clear liberal America would use every platform available to them to “resist” Trump.

Some leftists were upset when Gaga did not mention Trump’s name but gave an inclusive performance that Americans of all political affiliations could enjoy.

But that did not mean the game was free from left-wing politics.

In fact, the commercials were chock full of liberal propaganda.

One and from 84 Lumber depicted what appeared to be illegal immigrants trying to enter America.

The company claimed it was the story of legal immigrants, but many saw the open borders messaged being pushed.

Home sharing app Airbnb also aired a commercial that had nothing to do with their product, but was a 100% hysterical attack on Donald Trump with their “we accept” slogan that was designed to blast Trump for his supposed “anti-immigrant” beliefs.

Google’s ad also displayed homosexual rainbow pride flags prominently in their commercial.

Politics dominated the run-up to the Super Bowl with liberals salivating over denouncing Trump on the largest television platform of the year.

The commercials pushed social justice and left-wing ideology.

So it was so surprise that Americans who gave up on the league in the regular season because of its embrace of left-wing activism did not tune in for the Super Bowl.

  1. Those idiots are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.If the NFL, and also the NBA, are going to show their stupidity, there is some possibility that those leagues will fold, although it seems unlikely.
Then, all of the cry-baby millionaires will have to find something else to do, although they are all set for life now. However, the guys coming out of college, who also took cooking and knitting to get through on their scholarships, will have to find a real job, like the ordinary man in the street has to do.

  2. Very well said Dale. I couldn’t agree more it is an absolute disgrade what thus idiots are doing to disgrace our vets, our flag, our great country. They should be so very grateful they have had a very such a fortunate life while some of us are strugging to put food on the tables.

  3. UNITED STATES CODE
    TITLE 36
    CHAPTER 10
    § 171. Conduct during playing.
During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.
The Independence Hall Association says the Flag Code, adopted first in 1923, requires those who are not members of the Armed Forces or veterans to face the flag and stand with a hand over their heart. Men in these crowds are told to remove hats or other headwear with their right hands and place them over their left shoulders.
It is an unfortunate dis-grace that overpaid athletes choose not to honour those who have fought, bled and died to grant them such behavior.

  4. There are an awful lot of us who would be happy to make what a black football player makes (1 million dollars or more a year for playing a game), and would be happy to pay the I.R.S. the income tax on that. Instead WE have to settle for much less to live on and still pay 20% income tax. DISCRIMINATION? WE all would like that type of discrimination.

Then he got in his $100,000 Jaguar and drove home to his $3,000,000 home. It breaks my heart to see people suffer oppression like that. Especially since there was a black president in office at the time who had been there for the past 8 years, as well as a black (worthless) Attorney General> Maybe he should work in an overseas sweatshop for $50-100 a month and then come back and tell us all about it. He may have once been a fairly good quarterback, but no one will ever accuse him of having any brains.

  6. Ever since high school football, I’ve enjoyed being a fan for the simple sake of well, football. And for 50 years, I planned Sunday afternoons to be near a TV. However, when president Alinsky’s reign began, my passion has been declining. Today, I watch a few home team games and never watch other teams. The change also spilled over into college sports and I watch my old college teams but never west coast teams. And when I hear or see Bob Costas or any of his ilk, I immediately change the channel and find something else to settle my stomach. Lately, America-hating players like Colin Kaepernick have put my interest into a nosedive. The only fact that keeps me around at all is I recognize this is part of the ex-president’s fundamental transformation. He hates everything American and wants as many of us as possible to hate it too. His success exceeded my expectations.
