One of Barack Obama’s signature schemes to impose socialism in America was the Paris global warming accords.
Donald Trump just announced if he would keep America in the agreement.
And it was the worst news of Obama’s life.
Trump declared America was withdrawing from the globalist deal.
He stated that the Paris Accords killed jobs, gutted the American economy, mistreated our workers and redistributed our wealth.
“In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord,” Trump declared.
He then added that the Administration will however “begin negotiations to reenter either the Paris Accord or a really entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers.”
“We will see if we can make a deal that’s fair. And if we can, that’s great. And if we can’t, that’s fine,” he added. Trump cited putting the “well-being” of Americans first as a motivating factor behind his decision. He said, “This includes ending the implementation of the nationally determined contribution and, very importantly, the Green Climate Fund, which is costing the United States a vast fortune.”
President Trump said that the U.S. will immediately “cease all implementation of the non-binding Paris Accord and the draconian financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country.”
Trump supporters who believe in American sovereignty and reject U.N. controls on our economy cheered the decision.
But Barack Obama was fuming.
He blasted Trump’s decision.
“Former President Barack Obama criticized President Donald Trump for announcing on Thursday that the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, characterizing the decision as America vacating its leadership role on the world stage.
Obama, who has refrained from commenting on his successor’s every action in office, did not name Trump in his statement, but nonetheless made clear that he believes Trump’s plan to exit the 2015 agreement will hurt America, economically and otherwise.
“The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created,” Obama said. “I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.”
Describing the accord as “the first-ever global agreement to set the world on a low-carbon course and protect the world we leave to our children,” Obama said it was only possible thanks to “steady, principled American leadership on the world stage.”
But Trump was elected to put America First and undo Obama’s disastrous agenda.
By withdrawing from Obama’s global warming deal, Trump sent a signal to the globalists that their day of subverting America’s prosperity and destiny so they can impose a new international world order is over.
