Democrats are setting the stage to contest the election outcome and steal the Presidency.
The GOP just got some really bad news on this front.
And that’s because one Judge just handed Trump a massive defeat in this key swing state.
In the key swing state of Wisconsin, Barack Obama-appointed Judge William Conley changed Wisconsin’s voting laws to extend the deadline for mail-in ballots to count.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports:
In anticipation of a crush of absentee ballots, a federal judge on Monday extended the deadline for counting ballots cast in Wisconsin and sent through the mail by almost a week after Election Day.
The sweeping order by U.S. District Judge William Conley just 43 days before the election makes it likely Wisconsinites won’t know the unofficial results of the presidential election on Election Day this year, unless his ruling is reversed by the U.S. Court of Appeals or U.S. Supreme Court.
Wisconsin’s normal deadline for absentee ballots is 8 p.m. on Election Day. A similar order from Conley in April also extended the absentee ballot deadline for the April 7 election, pushing back the counting of election results by about a week.
Judges in key states of Michigan and Pennsylvania also allowed Democrats to extend the period to count votes in those states to weeks after Election Day.
The point of all this legal maneuvering is to claim it’s illegitimate for Donald Trump to declare victory on Election Night and to drag the process out so Democrats fight over mail-in ballots and contest the outcome of the election.
This decision is expected to make it all the way to the Supreme Court.
And that only adds to the urgency of Senate Republicans to confirm President Trump’s nominee to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg so the court has a full nine member bench and there won’t be any four to four deadlocks.
