From day one, the “resistance” to Donald Trump has leaned on political activists in the courts to stonewall Donald Trump’s agenda.
They expected so-called “judges” to hand down rulings along ideological lines in order to thwart the will of the American people.
And now this Obama judge just hit Donald Trump with some very bad news.
Donald Trump is doing everything in his power to stop the illegal alien invasion along the Southern Border.
The President recently announced rule changes that would prevent most Central American illegal aliens from applying for asylum in the United States unless they did so first in another country.
A Washington, D.C. federal judge agreed and allowed the rules to go into effect.
But pro-open borders advocates raced to a friendly Obama judge in California and got him to slap a nationwide injunction blocking the asylum rule changes from going into effect.
The Daily Caller reports:
A federal judge in California barred the Trump administration from enforcing new rules meant to curb the number of asylum applications at the southern border Wednesday night.
The decision came just hours after a different federal judge in Washington, D.C., rebuffed a similar request from similar plaintiffs.
“The right to determine whether a particular group of applicants is categorically barred from eligibility for asylum is conferred on Congress,” U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar’s order reads. “Congress has empowered the attorney general to establish additional limitations and conditions by regulation, but only if such regulations are consistent with the existing immigration laws passed by Congress. This new rule is likely invalid because it is inconsistent with the existing asylum laws.”
Judge Tigar also recently tried to stop the administration’s “remain in Mexico” policy from going into effect.
But his ruling was so far off base, even the radical Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned his order.
The Trump administration will also appeal this order and we will keep you up-to-date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
