The biggest scandal in American political history is the Obama administration and the FBI trying to frame Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians during the 2016 campaign.
Now a new bombshell dropped.
And one of Barack Obama’s top allies held on to a smoking gun that could bring Obama down.
Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe continues to declassify documents proving the FBI and Obama administration knew the Clinton campaign fabricated the story about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians, yet proceeded with launching a year’s long witch hunt anyway.
The latest declassification put responsibility for the scandal right at Barack Obama’s desk.
Director Ratcliffe declassified a handwritten note from former CIA Director John Brennan where Brennan documented that he personally briefed then-President Barack Obama on the fact that the intelligence community gained an “insight” into the fact that the Russians knew that the Clinton campaign planned to falsely claim that the Trump campaign was in cahoots with the Russians.
“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED],” Brennan’s handwritten note reads. “Cite alleged approval by Hillary Clinton–on 26 July–of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to villify [sic] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services.”
Obama asked Brennan if there was evidence the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, but that answer is redacted.
But what this note does make clear is that on January 5, when Obama met in the Oval Office with then-FBI Director Jim Comey and other top officials, Obama knew the Russian collusion story was a scam anyway but still directed his people to investigate it by the book.
The ensuing Russia investigation was not a good faith effort to get to the truth.
Instead it was a political hit job to sabotage the Trump presidency and prevent a peaceful transition of power from the word “go.”
