One Republican Senator gave Trump some bad news about replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing is setting up a Supreme Court nomination fight that will be like nothing the nation has ever seen.

Donald Trump now has a chance to shift the court dramatically to the Right.

But one Republican Senator gave Trump some bad news about replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Alaska RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski opposed Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

Murkowski is a pro-abortion RINO who will not support any Supreme Court Justice that will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

And as soon as news of Ginsburg’s death broke, Murkowski raced out with a statement declaring that she does not support taking up any Supreme Court nomination because of how close it was to the election.

“For weeks, I have stated that I would not support taking up a potential Supreme Court vacancy this close to the election,” Murkowski stated. “Sadly, what was then a hypothetical is now our reality, but my position has not changed.”

Murwkowsi falsely compared Republicans exercising their constitutional power to confirm or not confirm nominees in blocking Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland in 2016 to 2020 where Republicans control both the Senate and the White House.

“I did not support taking up a nomination eight months before the 2016 election to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Justice [Antonin] Scalia,” Murkowski exclaimed. “We are now even closer to the 2020 election, less than two months out, and I believe the same standard must apply.”

Murkowski will not come out and say it because she has to run for re-election in 2022, but the only reason she opposes filling this vacancy now is because Murkowski fears with six Republican appointed justices on the Supreme Court, conservatives may be within reach of achieving their long-held goal of overturning the disastrous Roe v. Wade decision.
