One U.S. Senator just reignited rumors about this Supreme Court Justice

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is known as the court’s swing vote.

Appointed by President Reagan in the 1980s, he’s unfortunately disappointed conservatives time and time again.

But what Senator Mike Lee just said about Justice Kennedy has conservatives jumping for joy!

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) appeared on Fox News Radio when he dropped a bombshell about Justice Kennedy.

The Washington Times reports:

“A lot of chatter suggesting that Justice Kennedy might be preparing for retirement as soon as this year,” Mr. Lee said Tuesday on Fox News Radio’s “Benson & Harf.” “Sometime between now and the end of June or first day or two of July would be when we would expect an announcement from Justice Kennedy if he were going to do it. What I am hearing is that he is at least considering it and it’s a very real possibility.”

Justice Kennedy is getting up in years and will turn 82 this July.

If Justice Kennedy retires this summer, President Trump could land a second nominee on the U.S. Supreme Court.

It’s difficult to understate how important such a situation could be for conservatives.

Justice Kennedy has long stood in the way of efforts to overturn Roe vs. Wade and sided with the high court’s liberals on a wide range of other issues.

With a possible announcement just weeks away, you can expect the rumor mill to get fired up even hotter in the coming weeks.

We’ll keep you posted on any further updates about Justice Kennedy’s future on this site.

  1. President Trump will have the opportunity to appoint 4 Justices, during his eight years in office. He has 1 already and 2 more in his first 4 years and the 4 Justice in his second term. Trump 2020.

  2. Kennedy is not retiring he’s just running like the communist coward , That he is, just like those Congressman and senators that are fleeing,They are afraid of the Civil War that’s coming in they will be the first ones to get it

    • I agree with you totally from one old vet to another. There is a great divide in this nation and it very well could end in another cival war. I would rather we take our country back through the ballot box and supreme court appointments.. But if it has to be the other way I’m sure there are a lot of patriots in this great nation to get the job done. Just like in our oath we took,to defend this country from its enemy’s, both foreign and domestic.

    • Ginsburg is female ‘iron’. wow. too bad she doesn’t ‘get it’,
in this day & age. Time to retire. Good bye. But, i’m tellin ya,
she wants to die in office. That piece of ‘iron’ ain’t goin’
      nowhere.

      • After what she’s done to human rights with killing innocent babies and turning their mothers into murderers in the name of women’s rights, I don’t know how any so called “judge” can live with that. Well they will have to answer to a real judge someday.

    • She does not ever have to retire. She was appointed for life as are all Federal Judges. I personally do not agree with that part of the Constitution, but the founders failed to ask my opinion.

  3. Don’t you know the left would hate a Supreme Court Justice like Ted Cruz ? I like the thought of Gowdy, Nunes, Issa, Jordan, etc.

  4. Trey Gowdy or Devin Nunes would be a nice addition in Kennedy replacement. They would definitely remove the government corruption.

    Trump 2020!

    • I agree with you, but we really need Trey Gowdy to keep fighting for the truth against liberals outside the court. There is no one as brave as Trey.

  5. Yep, that would be wonderful. At least Pres. Trump would get some help there. In my opinion, they should not be appointed for life and should have to retire at 72 like other Civil Servants. Don’t you love what we use to call those people that worked for the government? The only people they serve now are themselves.

  6. Making the SUPREME COURT MORE CONSERVATIVE to battle LIBERAL chatter…would be a positive step forward.
