Paul Ryan was asked one question on Fox News that left him seething with rage

Paul Ryan emerged from the depths of Washington, D.C.’s “Swamp” for the 2024 Election.

But he discovered the political world is a much different place than when he left.

And Paul Ryan was asked one question on Fox News that left him seething with rage.

Paul Ryan goes on Fox News to complain about Donald Trump

Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) told Yahoo Finance in a May interview at the Milken Institute Global Conference that he wasn’t going to be voting for former President Donald Trump.

He echoed talking points by President Joe Biden about how democracy was at stake and that Trump didn’t have the character to be President.

Ryan said that he would write someone in on his Presidential ballot, which is effectively a vote for Biden.

He made a rare media appearance when he ventured onto the Fox News show Your World with Neil Cavuto.

Cavuto – a Never Trumper – told Ryan that he wasn’t popular with the cable news network’s audience.

“A lot of our viewers knew you were coming on,” Cavuto said. “And a lot of them intrinsically dislike you for some reason.”

Ryan is a board member of Fox News.

“They think you’re pulling the strings here at Fox,” Cavuto continued. “You’re part of this anti-Trump, never Trumper movement. They even equate me with you. They say that . . . we’re kindred spirits.”

The camera showed the former Speaker with a pained smirk.

“And obviously Donald Trump is saying that you should be fired by Rupert Murdoch. When you hear all of that, what do you say?” Cavuto asked.

“I’ve been in politics a long time. I have really thick skin,” Ryan said.

Cavuto joked that Ryan couldn’t have thick skin because he’s too “fit.”

“I don’t think about that. I literally don’t think about it,” Ryan added.

Paul Ryan asked if anyone discusses how unpopular he is

Cavuto asked him if Fox and News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch ever brought about how unpopular he is with the Fox News audience.

“Does he ever raise it with you, like ‘hey, you’re not popular?’” Cavuto asked

Ryan said it never came up.

“It’s just the unspoken issue?” Cavuto asked.

The former Speaker said no one has ever mentioned it to him.

Paul Ryan went on Fox News and did a segment where he was grilled about how much the network’s audience despises him.

Trump told Murdoch to fire Ryan in May after his Yahoo interview.

“Rupert Murdoch should fire pathetic RINO Paul Ryan from the Board of Fox,” Trump posted on Truth Social in May. “Ryan is a loser, always has been, and always will be. He was the WEAKEST & MOST INCOMPETENT Speaker of the House in its History. Fox will sink to the absolute bottom of the pack if Paul Ryan has anything to do with it!”

Paul Ryan has no future in the Republican Party, and his Fox News appearance was a reminder of this.
