Police just arrested this big-name Democrat for a reason you won’t believe

Democrats are known for pulling political stunts.

But someone just took it to the extreme.

And Police just arrested this big-name Democrat for a reason you won’t believe.

Democrats are getting crazed over their push for legislation to put the federal government in charge of elections.

One of the bills is the so-called “John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act” which would reimpose a section of the Voting Rights Act that required mostly Republican states to get permission from the federal government to make any changes to election procedure.

This law would allow the Biden administration to block states from enacting simple measures like banning voter ID or preventing risky ballot harvesting schemes from going into effect.

Thus far, Republicans have held together plans to filibuster Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats’ attempts to move the election nationalization bills to the Senate floor.

Now leftwing activists and Democrat politicians are fuming after Congressional Black Caucus Chair Ohio Rep. Joyce Beatty led a protest in a restricted area of the Capitol and police promptly arrested Beatty and eight other demonstrators.

“We’re here today because we will continue to come, and to stand up, to protect our voting rights. We will do this until we pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act,” Beatty declared. “We have everything to lose.”

Beatty outrageously declared 2021 America – when it is easier to vote than ever – tops Bull Connor unleashing dogs and firehoses on Civil Rights protestors.

“We might as well still have the dogs and the hoses, because we don’t have the Voting Rights Act,” Beatty stated.

After the arrest, a defiant Beatty declared she would never stop fighting for a federal power grab to seize control of elections in all 50 states.

“You can arrest me. You can’t stop me. You can’t silence me,” Beatty posted on social media.

Republicans are united in opposition to these federal election measures.

The point of Beatty’s protest was to try and recreate scenes of oppression from the Civil Rights movement to ramp up pressure on Democrats like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema to force them to cave in on eliminating the legislative filibuster.
