The swamp in D.C. has been consumed with proving Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 election.
So-called “mainstream” media outlets have relentlessly pushed the narrative that the election was rigged and Trump was in cahoots with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Now Putin just came clean about the true nature of his relationship with Trump.
Trump has maintained for over a year that he never colluded with Russia and that he has no ties to Putin.
Putin confirmed that fact when he said he has no personal relationship with Trump.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin said he has no personal ties to Donald Trump and criticized the U.S. leader for his hard line in the North Korean nuclear standoff.
“We have zero personal relationship. We’ve only met once,” Putin said on Wednesday at the Russian Energy Week conference in Moscow. The Russian leader praised Trump as someone with a strong character who will “never be anybody’s hostage,” but said the relationship between Russia and the U.S. has been poisoned by a domestic political fight in America.”
The anti-Trump media has also struck out on producing evidence of collusion.
The Associated Press reported that after interviewing 100 witnesses and reviewing over 100,000 documents the Senate Intelligence Committee still has not discovered a shred of proof of collusion:
“Leaders of the Senate intelligence committee said Wednesday that they have not determined roughly nine months into their investigation whether Russia coordinated with the Trump campaign to try to sway the 2016 presidential election.
“The issue of collusion is still open,” said the Republican committee chairman, North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, who along with the panel’s top Democrat, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, provided the first major update on a congressional investigation that was launched the same month as President Donald Trump was inaugurated.
“The committee continues to look at all evidence to see if there was any hint of collusion,” Burr said, adding that “I am not going to even discuss initial findings, because we haven’t any.”
Burr and Warner said that the committee has interviewed more than 100 witnesses, including former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner. More than 100,000 pages of documents have been reviewed.”
The media and Trump haters in the establishment feverishly hoped the Russia story would prove to be Trump’s undoing.
But after one year of the investigation, it is exactly what Trump said it was – fake news.
No evidence of a relationship with Putin.
No evidence of ties to Russia.
And no evidence of collusion with Russia.
