Nancy Pelosi was faced with this question and her answer will leave you stunned.

Just prior to Trump firing him, Hillary Clinton blamed Comey for her election loss.

And Democrats across the country believed Comey should have been removed from his office for his conduct during the election.

But that all changed the second Trump fired the FBI Director.

They fired off charges about cover up, obstruction of justice and the need for an independent prosecutor.

Pelosi appeared on a CNN town hall event and was asked about the Democrats hypocrisy on Comey.

During a town hall hosted by CNN, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was asked about why so many Democrats are up in arms about President Trump‘s decision to fire James Comey, even though the former FBI director was despised by many on the left.

“Before the election on November 8, your side of the aisle were asking for the former head of the fbi to resign,” said questioner Jake Lee. “Now that he has been let go, why the sudden and selective outrage from your side of the aisle?”

Pelosi leaned in on the dead-end Russia investigation in her response.

Pelosi argued that Comey’s firing was “distressing” because President Trump admitted shortly afterwards that Comey’s investigation into his campaign was a motivating factor in his decision to dismiss him. Pelosi also invoked how the timing of Trump’s decision puts his reasoning into significant question.

“We believe that the FBI is… an independent law enforcement agency to be respected, and [the director is] not to be fired by the president because he’s tired of an investigation they’re doing,” Pelosi said.”

But the Russia investigation has produced nothing.

No one is alleged to have committed a crime.

No one is alleged to have colluded with Russian intelligence.

It’s gigantic distraction that was cooked up by the Democrats and pushed by the media in order to try and damage the Trump administration.

And Pelosi admitted as much when she stated that the Democrats are politicizing the Comey firing to keep the Russia conspiracy theory afloat.
