The Senate impeachment “trial” is nearing its anti-climactic conclusion, with everyone knowing the result.
But that isn’t stopping things from getting downright nasty as conservatives fight back against this massive waste of taxpayer dollars.
And Rand Paul just tore into John Bolton, Joe Biden, and his entire money-grubbing Biden family in this tense exchange.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is known as a fighter. Much like his father, former Congressman and Presidential candidate Ron Paul(R-TX), Senator Paul isn’t afraid of a fight.
Especially when it comes to waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption in the federal government.
Each year, Paul puts out his “Waste Report” highlighting some of the more outrageous spending, fraud, and abuse by the government with the full blessing of a Congress gone mad.
You can be sure this year’s “Waste Report” will include the impeachment fiasco forced upon us by a Democrat Party desperate to occupy the White House again by any means necessary.
That’s why it didn’t come as any surprise to many astute observers when Senator Paul made it very clear just how unhappy he is about the impeachment charade, especially on the important point of just who is making money off access to high office.
The Republican Senator from Kentucky appeared on Fox News earlier in the week, after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)held a rant-filled news conference where he accused President Trump and his children of “making money off of the presidency.”
The accusations by Schumer had to do with former National Security Advisor and devout neocon John Bolton’s upcoming tell-all book.
In the book, which isn’t even out yet, Bolton supposedly claims he was concerned about the president granting special favors to leaders in China and Turkey, countries not known for their dedication to democracy, but countries in which the Trump family has some business dealings.
These serious sounding accusations actually seem more like a promotional campaign for his upcoming book than something Schumer and the Democrats should be basing all their impeachment hopes and dreams on.
Though the book is not out yet Schumer was willing to go even further, speculating that the president’s family had used the China and Turkey deals to profit from the office of the presidency.
Paul, for his part, was having none of it.
“You know, I’m offended and shocked that Schumer would be so scurrilous as to accuse the president and his children of making money illegally off of politics when the only people we know who have actually made money off this have been Hunter Biden and Joe Biden,” a visibly angry Paul said on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”
But the libertarian leaning Senator wasn’t done.
“So, Hunter Biden makes a million dollars a year, that’s documented, but Schumer simply creates and makes up and says, ‘Oh, maybe the president’s kids are making money,’” he continued.
Paul was of course referring to former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden who would literally would be unemployable if he didn’t share the Biden last name.
And for those keeping score at home, Hunter Biden’s dealings in the Ukraine are just the tip of the iceberg. He’s made millions from work in China and been offered “work” in Libya and the Middle East as well.
All of this despite his qualifications being, well, less than desirable.
In fact, in every one of these cases his eventual employment, and outrageous income were closely tied to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s dealings in those nations.
And Paul did not stop there with the Bidens. He has long had contempt for the warmonger John Bolton and Paul claims Bolton’s latest efforts are merely based on selling his book.
“Look, a month ago, he didn’t want to testify in the House. Why? Maybe his book wasn’t finished. Now his book is finished. He wants to testify,” he said.
“John Bolton is making money as we speak. He’s probably already gotten a several million-dollar advance for this book. He’s making money by testifying against the president,” Paul said.
“The only people we know that have actually made money: Hunter Biden and now John Bolton,” said Paul.
