Joe Biden’s problems in office are multiplying.
Republicans are stepping up their criticism.
Ron DeSantis drew one line in the sand for Joe Biden that has Democrats terrified.
Hackers took down the Colonial Pipeline, which carries nearly half the fuel to the Eastern United States.
17 Governors declared states of emergency and fuel shortages and massive lines at the pump are popping in states like North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
The Biden administration’s response was to declare this a private matter for a private company and wash their hands of a 1970s-style gas shortage.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was one of those affected and blasted Biden for being asleep at the switch.
“I think this is something that demands really serious federal attention. This was essentially a cyberattack on critical infrastructure in our country,” DeSantis told the press.
DeSantis pointed out this was a national crisis.
“You can’t just say it’s a private pipeline therefore, we’re not going to be involved. No, the U.S. government needs to be involved. They need to help mitigate this,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis argued that the gas shortages were a crisis that affected the entire economy and could cripple the nation.
“My fear is you have these gas shortages, it’s going to cause a lot of problems for people, just the convenience of life, but also for our economy,” DeSantis concluded.
The Biden administration wants to pretend this is a private matter for the company to handle because they don’t want the blame for this fiasco.
It’s not hard to imagine how the media would have handled the controversy if Russian hackers shut down a key pipeline when Donald Trump was President.
Biden is playing to this muted reaction from his supporters in the press by pretending like this crisis is not his responsibility.
