Florida Governor Ron DeSantis doesn’t pull any punches with Joe Biden.
The pair have frequently traded barbs.
And Ron DeSantis took everyone by surprise when made this shocking revelation about Joe Biden.
Florida is suffering from one of the biggest natural disasters in state history after being hammered by Hurricane Ian.
The Category Four hurricane slammed into Florida’s southwestern coast last week, resulting in billions of dollars in property damage and dozens of lost lives.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis worked tirelessly to ready the state for Hurricane Ian’s destructive force.
While DeSantis was showing true leadership, President Joe Biden was playing political games when Florida was bracing for the storm.
Biden avoided making a customary phone call to DeSantis to coordinate with the Governor on disaster response.
Instead of calling DeSantis, Biden called the Mayors of Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, which were in the path of the storm on the Gulf Coast.
Joe Biden was putting his petty political grudge against DeSantis over the wellbeing of Florida.
After the corporate-controlled media began questioning the cold shoulder, Biden backed down and finally called DeSantis.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Biden appeared to turn a new leaf by praising DeSantis for his leadership.
During an interview on Fox News, DeSantis explained how he got Joe Biden to cooperate with him on disaster relief for Florida.
“Well, I’ll tell you what. I mean, what I told him is that the media was making a big deal that he wasn’t talking to me or whatever, and I told him, I was like, ‘Look, I want to work together for these people,’” DeSantis said. “Because these people are from all walks of life. Republicans, Democrats, they expect us to be able to put our differences aside.’”
While Joe Biden was politicizing the hurricane, Ron DeSantis stepped up for hard-hit Floridians.
“And nobody has done more to stand up to this administration than me in Florida over the last year and a half, as you know,” DeSantis explained.
Despite Biden’s loathing for the Florida Governor, he had to recognize DeSantis for his successful leadership.
“What the Governor’s done is pretty remarkable,” Biden admitted. “I think he’s done a good job.”
Despite Biden’s initial snub, DeSantis said that the federal government and Florida officials have been working in harmony.
“But you’ve got to be willing to work together to help folks. And so I think the response from local, state, and federal has been pretty seamless,” DeSantis continued. “And I think that’s a testament that, you know what, we as a country can get things done when it counts.”
Ron DeSantis’ remarkable leadership during Hurricane Ian proved why he’s going to be a top future Presidential contender for the GOP.
