Sean Hannity had one warning for Mitch McConnell that left jaws on the ground in Washington, D.C

There is a civil war brewing in the Republican Party.

Establishment RINOs have been waiting for Donald Trump to depart to launch their counterattack on the President’s base.

But Sean Hannity had one warning for Mitch McConnell that left jaws on the ground in Washington, D.C.

On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell attacked President Trump and made it clear the Republican establishment was cutting ties with Trump and his voters.

McConnell – in a Senate floor speech – blamed President Trump for the riot at the Capitol claiming Trump “provoked” the melee.

On Fox News that night, Sean Hannity fired back at McConnell and sent a clear message that the President’s base would not tolerate establishment RINOs like McConnell holding hands with Democrats to convict Trump in the Democrats’ unconstitutional impeachment trial being held after Trump left office.

“In November, the President won more votes by far than any other Republican in the history of our great republic — nearly 75 million nationwide,” Hannity declared.

“Now soon-to-be Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and a handful of other long-serving establishment Republicans are trying to reassert control of the GOP, and their playbook is sadly all too predictable. Instead of picking up the mantle and promoting the president’s America First agenda, they are tonight cowering in fear, wilting under the pressure from the media mob, liberal Democrats, and big tech companies. Many spineless Republicans are joining forces with their Democratic friends to repudiate all things Trump.”

Hannity told McConnell and his allies that if Republicans tried to cancel President Trump and his 75,000,000 voters then the GOP needed new leadership in the Senate.

“[I]f you’re going to go along with all of this nonsense, we need new leadership in the U.S. Senate,” Hannity continued.

“You can represent the people of Kentucky. You’re showing basically right now that you’re the king of the establishment Republicans that, frankly, have always had and remain to have contempt for President Trump, but more importantly, the 75 million Americans that voted for him. Americans want somebody who will fight for their values and principles — not scheme behind closed doors with your buddy Chucky Schumer.”

The most surefire way for the Republican Party to blow their chance to win back majorities in the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections is for the GOP establishment to declare war on its own base and try to drive Trump supporters from the party.

Many in the GOP like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger would like to do just that.

But Sean Hannity spoke for millions of Trump supporters in telling the GOP that if they tried to take out Donald Trump on another sham impeachment the Republican Party would face two years of brutal internal conflict.
