And Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall are returning to HGTV after this surprise announcement.

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall squaring off in new house flipping competition show

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall were the husband-and-wife team that turned HGTV’s Flip or Flop into one of the most popular shows on the network that spawned numerous spinoffs.

They continued to star on the show after their divorce in 2018 until it concluded in 2022.

Hall moved on to star in her own HGTV series, Christina on the Coast, while he moved to Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa.

Now the former couple are going to be back on HGTV competing against each other in a new show.

The Flip Off will pit El Moussa and his new wife, former Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young, against Hall and her new husband, realtor Josh Hall.

The couples will compete to see who can make the most money from flipping a house.

In a video posted to social media, El Moussa and Hall talked about reuniting.

“I never thought I’d be doing this,” Hall said.

“This is one of the defining moments of my life,” El Moussa added.

El Moussa and Hall have buried the hatchet after the messy divorce.

He told E! News that getting divorced forced him to change his life.

“The best thing that happened to me in my life, and the worst thing, was her leaving,” El Moussa said. “Because it forced me to completely rebuild my life.”

Christina Hall and Heather Rae Young joke about their similar appearances

Hall and Rae Young look strikingly similar, which caused fans to poke fun at them.

They and El Moussa decided to have some fun with it.

In a video posted to social media, Hall and Rae Young were dressed in matching blue jeans and black tops.

“Hi I’m Christina,” Rae Young said.

“Hi I’m Heather,” Hall then said.

“Wait no, that’s not right,” Rae Young told Hall.

“Must be all that bleach,” Hall jokes.

The video cuts to El Moussa sitting in a chair.

“Well, I guess it is confusing,” El Moussa said.

Who will win the new house-flipping show?

El Moussa and Hall became expert house flippers during their run on Flip or Flop.

Now the former couples are competing against each other.

Realtor.com asked real estate experts who they liked in the matchup.

“Tarek has always been more budget conscious than Christina,” Property People’s James Berger said. “When it comes to rehabbing homes, while it’s tempting to go all-out on design and finishes, investors who are financially savvy understand that’s just not a smart way of doing business.”

EZ Sell Homebuyers partner Mike Wall said it’s a pretty even matchup.

“Christina Hall has demonstrated a keen eye for design and a strong sense of market trends,” Wall said. “Her ability to tailor renovations to her clientele’s specific tastes and needs gives her a distinct edge in creating appealing homes that are likely to sell quickly and at a premium.”

Fans can watch Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa battle for flipping supremacy when The Flip Off begins airing in early 2025.
