Taylor Swift made this tearful announcement after one ex-boyfriend stepped forward

One staple of Taylor Swift’s songs is that she will not hold back when singing about past relationships.

But Swift got some bad news.

And Taylor Swift made this tearful announcement after one ex-boyfriend stepped forward.

Swift breaks down over reception from crowd in England

Taylor Swift is still on the international leg of her Eras tour.

The reception from fans at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, where a sold-out crowd of 60,000 “Swifties” overwhelmed Swift, and she could barely hold back tears.

The Daily Mail reported that Swift removed her earpiece so she could take in the moment and told the crowd, “I love you so much, Liverpool, thank you!”

The shows in Liverpool clearly hit Swift hard.

Not only was she moved to tears by the love of her fans, but she used the Liverpool shows to reveal that December would see the “Eras” tour come to an end after 152 shows.

An ex-boyfriend speaks

Former boyfriend Joe Alwyn – an English actor – opened up about his break up with Swift a little over a year after the news went public.

Alwyn said he preferred to keep details private but that he was happy with where he was in his life.

“As everyone knows, we together — both of us, mutually — decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private,” Alwyn began.

“It was never something to commodify and I see no reason to change that now,” Alwyn added.

“And, look, this is also a little over a year ago now and I feel fortunate to be in a really great place in my life, professionally and personally. I feel really good,” Alwyn concluded.

As is her standard operating procedure, Swift’s comment came through her music.

Several tracks on her Tortured Poets Department album are believed to be about her relationship with Joe.

One song entitled “LOML” includes the lyric “I wish we could recall how we almost had it all . . .”

Alwyn got off easy.

Swift can be much more biting in her music.

One song called “Dear John” was about the end of her relationship with singer John Mayer, who was 12 years older than Swift.

The lyrics to “Dear John” include Swift singing “Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone/Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with?/The girl in the dress, cried the whole way home, I should’ve known.”

Swift’s song “We’re Never Ever Getting Back Together” was about her breakup with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

The end of this relationship clearly stung because the lyrics go, “I’m really gonna miss you picking fights/And me falling for it, screaming that I’m right/And you would hide away and find your peace of mind/With some indie record that’s much cooler than mine.”

Swift sang about other relationships such as dating Joe Jonas and Harry Styles.

Joe Alwyn can count himself in good company.
