Panic is setting among Democrats with one poll after another showing that President Joe Biden is losing a 2024 rematch with former President Donald Trump.

Former Obama advisor David Axelrod hinted that it could be time for the embattled President to step aside after a New York Times poll showed him losing five crucial swing states to Trump.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made his own prediction about who the Democrats will swap Biden out with during an appearance on Fox News.
“David Axelrod coming out against Joe Biden the way he did, how he’s doing it, telling him it’s up to you to drop out, it’s all on you, Joe, is there something more to that than someone who’s well-known and respected in political circles? Is there something else?” host Brian Kilmeade asked.
“Look, I think that’s very serious, it’s been my view for a long time that Barack Obama has been the person pulling the strings behind Joe Biden,” Cruz replied. “Joe Biden is clearly not up to it. I think Obama is the one making the decision and Axelrod is Obama’s right hand.”
Cruz added that Democrats are getting scared about Biden’s chances because of a growing number of warning signs over the last six months.
“Biden is not up to it,” Cruz continued. “Even with his diminished capacity they don’t think he can do it. I said on my podcast three months ago Verdict with Ted Cruz. I predicted that there was a very real chance that the Democrats would jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama and that they’d do it at the convention next summer. I think the chances of that happening are rising every day.”
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is the dream candidate for Democrats who could unite the party after casting aside Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Kilmeade pointed out that she’s never been subjected to serious scrutiny.
“She has not,” Cruz responded. “And look, the reason I say Michelle Obama is if Biden gets out of the way, the person who’s next is Kamala Harris and she’s a very flawed candidate. They know that. In the Democratic Party, they can’t push Kamala Harris aside and replace her with a white guy.”
Cruz explained that Democrats would face a serious backlash if they picked California Governor Gavin Newsom over Harris.
