The January 6 Committee got caught in a major lie and you won’t believe who exposed them

The January 6 Committee promised a surprise witness and blockbuster hearing.

Instead, the Committee completely discredited itself.

And the January 6 Committee got caught in a major lie and you won’t believe who exposed them.

So-called “witness” Cassidy Hutchinson weaved a fantastical tale in her testimony that seemed right out of a Mission: Impossible movie.

Hutchinson claimed Donald Trump demanded his Secret Service detail drive him to the Capitol after his speech at the Ellipse on January 6.

When the Secret Service refused, Hutchison claimed White House Deputy Chief of Staff Tony Ornato told her that President Trump assaulted the head of his protective detail, Bobby Engel, by grabbing him around the throat and lunging for the steering wheel in an attempt to seize control of the vehicle.

The corporate-controlled media ran with this retelling of events, claiming it was a massive smoking gun that proved Trump was unhinged and intended to incite violence.

But like every fantastical claim about Trump in the Russian collusion hoax, this too was a lie.

And this time it only took a matter of hours to debunk Hutchinson’s hearsay falsehood.

Donald Trump angrily denied Hutchinson’s claim on Truth social.

“Her Fake story that I tried to grab the steering wheel of the White House Limousine in order to steer it to the Capitol Building is “sick” and fraudulent, very much like the Unselect Committee itself – Wouldn’t even have been possible to do such a ridiculous thing. Her story of me throwing food is also false…and why would SHE have to clean it up, I hardly knew who she was?” Trump posted.

The individuals directly involved also denied Hutchinson’s account and made it clear they would testify under oath that she made up the whole story.

“A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel,” NBC’s Peter Alexander wrote on Twitter.

“UPDATE: A Secret Service official familiar with the matter told CNN that Tony Ornato denies telling Cassidy Hutchinson that the former president grabbed the steering wheel or an agent on his detail,” CNN’s Shimon Prokupecz posted.

If the January 6 Committee does not give Ornato and Engel a public, televised hearing to rebut Hutchinson’s claims, then it will confirm that the Committee is a kangaroo court with no interest in the actual truth.
