Joe Biden’s worst day as President ended in resounding humiliation.
Biden got called out for being a lawless President.
And the Supreme Court destroyed Joe Biden with this late-night defeat.
Late on Thursday night the Supreme Court threw out Biden’s eviction moratorium whereby Biden tried to end private property in America by having the Centers for Disease Control issue a new rule blocking landlords from evicting tenants that refused to pay rent.
Back in June, the Supreme Court issued a ruling letting the eviction moratorium stand with Justice Brett Kavanaugh casting the deciding vote stating the only reason he ruled that way was because the moratorium was set to expire in a matter of weeks and only Congress could extend it.
The justices were clearly not happy that Biden made a mockery of their ruling and the majority – which consisted of at least five of the conservative justices – issued an unusual eight page ruling blasting the Biden administration.
In the ruling the Justices declared it “strains credulity” to believe the CDC can wipe out rent in America on public health grounds:
“Careful review of that record makes clear that the applicants are virtually certain to succeed on the merits of their argument that the CDC has exceeded its authority. It would be one thing if Congress had specifically authorized the action that the CDC has taken. But that has not happened. Instead, the CDC has imposed a nationwide moratorium on evictions in reliance on a decades-old statute that authorizes it to implement measures like fumigation and pest extermination. It strains credulity to believe that this statute grants the CDC the sweeping authority that it asserts,” the ruling read.
The justices continued on noting that the eviction moratorium hurt potential renters who are denied housing because landlords could not remove delinquent tenants as well as depriving landlords of rental income many count on to survive financially.
“The equities do not justify depriving the applicants of the District Court’s judgment in their favor,” the court added. “The moratorium has put the applicants, along with millions of landlords across the country, at risk of irreparable harm by depriving them of rent payments with no guarantee of eventual recovery.”
When Joe Biden issued this order, he admitted it may be illegal.
It turned out that the Supreme Court was not amused and smacked down Biden with an unusually harsh defeat.
