The rioting in American streets reached a tipping point.
Americans are fed up and demanding law and order.
Now the U.S. military may be about to get the one order that no one ever thought they would see.
Americans were horrified at the images they saw coming out of New York City.
Thugs looted midtown Manhattan, destroyed property, and overran police.
It was complete and total anarchy in the Big Apple.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio stayed back and allowed it to happen.
The following day, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo used de Blasio and the city’s police department as a scapegoat for Cuomo’s failure to call in the National Guard to put a stop to the domestic terrorists running roughshod over New York.
“The NYPD and the mayor did not do their job last night, I believe that,” Cuomo whined.
“You have 38,000 NYPD people, it is the largest police department in the United States of America,” Governor Cuomo continued. “Use 38,000 people and protect property. Use the police, protect property and people. Look at the videos, it was a disgrace.”
Cuomo went so far as to float the idea of ordering the National Guard to remove de Blasio from power and put New York under control of the Guard claiming that there is an “option is to displace the mayor . . . bring in the National Guard.”
But Cuomo said he was not yet ready to make that call.
What is clear is New York needs better leadership.
Cuomo and de Blasio butchered the response to the coronavirus and their incompetence killed tens of thousands of New Yorkers.
Now they are playing the blame game instead of taking firm action to put down a rebellion that is destroying whatever is left of New York City’s economy.
