Congressional investigators are trying to get to the bottom of the Deep State’s corruption.
The FBI and Department of Justice have stonewalled the investigation for months.
But one former Deep State operative may have pushed her luck to far with her latest act.
Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page could be held in contempt of Congress.
She ignored a Congressional subpoena to appear before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees.
The Washington Examiner reports:
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., said on Fox News Wednesday afternoon that Page has been in “complete defiance” of Congress for seven months, refusing to cooperate with investigators.
Goodlatte said that if Page does not comply with the subpoena, she could be held in contempt “as soon as Friday.”
House Speaker Paul Ryan said earlier Wednesday he was “very disturbed” by Page’s refusal to show up, and also said he is considering contempt of Congress.
“She was a part of the mess that we uncovered over at DOJ,” said Ryan, R-Wisc. “She has an obligation to come and testify. If she wants to come plead the Fifth that’s her choice, but a subpoena to testify before Congress is not optional, it’s mandatory. We will do what we need to do to protect this branch of government.”
Contempt of Congress is no laughing matter.
As a federal misdemeanor, the conviction could be punishable by a maximum $100,000 fine and a one-year sentence in federal prison.
Trump reminded everyone on Twitter that Page “worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!”
Ex-FBI LAYER Lisa Page today defied a House of Representatives issued Subpoena to testify before Congress! Wow, but is anybody really surprised! Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!

What do you think?
Should Lisa Page be held in contempt if she continues to stonewall Congressional investigators?
Will Congress ever get to the bottom of the Deep State’s corruption?

UPDATE: House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte announced in a statement that “Lisa Page has finally agreed to appear before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees for a transcribed interview [Friday]. This decision is long overdue. Lisa Page is a key witness in our investigation and we need to hear from her about her role related to certain decisions made by the Department and Bureau.”
