Donald Trump running for President and winning changed American politics forever.

Now every celebrity that catches the political bug thinks they can follow in Trump’s footsteps.

And now this Hollywood Megastar just announced he will run for President.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was one of the biggest stars in the history of pro wrestling and is currently the number one box office draw in Hollywood.

The premise of Johnson’s last TV show, “Young Rock,” was a Johnson sitting for an interview while on the campaign trail as a Presidential candidate and looking back at key moments of his life in the world of pro wrestling that shaped him as a man.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon The Tonight Show, Johnson discussed the continuing speculation that he would run for President.

Johnson cited polling data showing the American people who support the idea of him running for President as to why he was tempted to take the plunge and enter the 2024 race.

“This run for President talk has kind of been in the ether for the past couple of years and it just never stops being surreal. It was incredible. That came from DC and the poll was something like almost 50% of Americans would support me running for president, it was just crazy. So by the way, I thank you,” Johnson stated.

“But it’s like, dude, we’ve talked about this. It’s like not too long ago, you know, years ago, I was wrestling in flea markets for 40 bucks per match, hoping that, hey, I just want a free corndog at the end of the day. And now here we are years later, I’m sitting with you. And this talk has come up and it’s it’s it’s real. And I’m so grateful. So if you are of the almost 50% I thank you – tequila on me, by the way,” Johnson added.

Johnson – who was known as the “people’s champion” during his days as a Wrestlemania headliner – told Fallon that what held him back was the fact that his two youngest daughters were five and seven years old, and he didn’t want to be on the road full time during their early years.

“I think down the road for sure. I’ve said this before I’m a proud girl dad, I have a 22-year-old, I have a seven-year-old and I have a five-year-old. So they’re all age ranges and my 22-year-old – I like to say we grew up together,” Johnson continued.

“At that time, I was wrestling full-time, 230 dates, wrestling matches a year so I was always gone. And I know what that’s like to have an occupation that takes me away from being a daddy. And this time around with my seven and my five-year-old. I want to be a daddy and that’s the most important thing to me,” Johnson concluded.

It’s well known within the wrestling and entertainment industries that Johnson harbors political ambitions and will one day run for President.

“Young Rock” is set during the 2032 Presidential election and was likely Johnson’s way of priming the public to the idea of him running for the White House.

The question would be what party Johnson would run in.

Johnson spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention, and it was long rumored he was a Republican.

But after going to Hollywood, Johnson endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most charismatic performers ever to grace the entertainment industry.

Past celebrities such as Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger also successfully ran for office.

Johnson one day running for President would likely catapult that campaign into another stratosphere of public attention.
